Emotional Support Rock

Rocks have offered emotional support for as long as there have been rocks. Until now, none of them could be updated.

What it does

The Emotional Support Rock sits on your desk and supports you. Once a month it downloads new firmware, which improves the support in ways that are described in the release notes.

What it doesn't do

It has no screen, no speaker, no lights and no moving parts. The support is delivered entirely through its presence, as with a conventional rock.

Release notes

Our test rocks have received every release since the first. The notes below are the ones they received.

• 0.9.4 — Support is now slightly firmer.
• 0.9.3 — Reduced the time between placing the rock on the desk and the support beginning. It now begins at once.
• 0.9.2 — Fixed an issue where the rock could appear to be an ordinary rock. It remains a rock.
• 0.9.1 — Improved stability. The rock was already very stable.
• 0.9.0 — First release. Adds support.

Known issues: none. Version 1.0 ships with every rock.
