Story
Artificial plants need no water, but until now nothing could confirm this on an hourly basis.
Confirms, hourly
The probe pushes into the decorative base and measures moisture, light and temperature. Every hour it reports the plant as thriving. The Inventor has checked the firmware and confirmed that the probe cannot report anything else.
What it will not do
It will not ask you to water the plant. It has no watering mode, no reminder, and no setting that would add one. The Inventor considers this the probe's most important specification.
Dust, the one alert
The only condition the probe flags is dust on its housing, detected by a small optical sensor. The suggested wipe interval is 30 days. Ignoring the alert does not affect the moisture reading, since there is no moisture to read.
Sixteen plants, one app
The app pairs with up to 16 plants per home and shows each one individually, by name, as thriving. A plant cannot be marked otherwise from within the app.
