Today closed the loop on two shell-read detection frictions flagged in
earlier sessions. The frictions-to-fixes sweep landed twin fixes for the
docsReadViaShell detector: crediting a grep/rg read on the command's own
output rather than an assumed match
(#1250), and resolving a
single-match glob against the real tree
(#1249) — one human-review
finding was filed as #1248 rather than force-fit into either fix. Later,
the scheduled prune-trial sweep judged the ADR-0003 ledger-row trial (it
holds) and pruned ADR-0017's amendments net -112 lines
(#1253), echoing the irony
David's blog post landed hours earlier — "The Rule About Pruning Rules
Found A Rule It Had Already Broken"
(#1252). audit-docs also
reconciled a stale branch-protection claim and de-duplicated ADR-0003 scope
text (#1251), and
yesterday's 2026-09-13 digest merged
(#1245).
Shipped: #1250 shell-read grep/rg fix · #1249 shell-read glob fix · #1253 ADR-0017 prune (-112) · #1251 audit-docs reconciliation · #1252 blog post
Sessions: 6 (all completed) · Frictions: 5 logged (2 moderate, 1 minor, 2 nit) — sharpest: two autonomous sessions independently hit the same docsReadViaShell detector rejecting a genuine shell-based read (a git show piped through head, and a grep -A5 over a glob) as "not a reader command."
