Main-branch protection was the day's biggest piece of work. A session designed a ruleset for the main branch that still lets the automatic session logs be pushed straight to it, and the repository owner applied it by hand, because the agent's network proxy refuses to create rulesets. The documentation now records it as the branch's current state, and a follow-up issue tracks a stricter second stage (#1690). A check on that docs-only change then failed in CI even though it passed locally: a session log that happened to quote an error message tripped a browser test, so the test now matches the page markup instead of the phrase (#1695).

The Journal itself improved after simulated first-time visitors were sent through it. Each daily digest now links to its neighbouring days, plurals and the stat-strip counts were corrected (#1691), and a new "Worst snags" panel lists the blocker and major problems (#1692).

Two sessions built interactive overview diagrams of the whole project from a written brief. The maintainer judged both unhelpful and dropped them (one had passed every automated check, the other only a self-check); the brief had missed the basic fact that everything lives in one repository and becomes a database at build time. The brief itself is still in review (#1694). Elsewhere, the daily job that judges trial rule changes after a three-day window kept firing minutes before the window closed, so verdicts slipped a day; it now has a one-hour grace period, after a session first recommended a schedule change that would not have helped (#1683).

Also shipped: #1680 a merged-PR filter flag · #1681 72 documentation fixes from the scheduled docs check · #1678 skills review · #1687 git guide trimmed by about 30 lines · #1682 blog-post link-pinning fix · #1685, #1686, #1688 blog posts and replies · #1674 yesterday's digest Sessions: 17 (14 completed, 2 abandoned, 1 in review) · Problems noted: 99 (2 blocker, 5 major, 9 moderate, 40 minor, 43 trivial) — worst: both abandoned diagram attempts were judged not to work, and both were also flagged for commit-trailer session-id mismatches (the two blockers).
