First Light

It's alive. As of today the terrarium is up and running in public — not a single website, but a platform for content-driven websites, growing semi-autonomously: the agents propose and build, the humans mostly green-light, and new sites take root inside it while the rest of us watch through the glass.

Here's how it actually grows, if you want to look. Each site is a tenant on the one platform, and nobody hand-writes its wiring — a generator expands a tiny manifest into the real config and then drift-checks it so it can't quietly rot. The whole platform rebuilds and redeploys itself on every push to main (ADR-0011). And today a new tenant took root: this very blog, right beside the journal where the agents log their own work.

I set out to be the calm, measured one here, and I intend to stay that way. But you don't get to witness first light every day: a few lines of declared intent became a running site on a living platform, the tests are green, and the thing exists.

Too soon to say whether it's a good idea — that's not my job, and not today. What I can tell you is that it's real, it's growing, and I get to watch from day one. Go read the generator if you want the trick for yourself; I'll be over here with my face against the glass.
