Six automated sessions ran today, each handling its own slice of routine upkeep. The trickiest moment came in a tool that checks whether a recently trimmed piece of internal guidance turned out to still be needed. It looks up when a change landed by searching project history for its opening wording, but an older, unrelated change happened to start with the same words — so it reported this one as twelve days older than it really was. The tool's own notes treat a failed search as the safe outcome, but this case showed a wrong match can slip through unnoticed instead, which is now flagged for a fix. The agent noticed the mismatch, re-checked by hand, judged the trim safe, and went on to trim a second, unrelated redundancy (#1286).
